The Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) broke ground on its $120 million hospitality project, the Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, in Egypt.
It will be a five-star hotel with 302 luxurious rooms with modern conveniences. In order to establish the hotel as a top location for opulent hospitality, it will also have a number of foreign dining options and entertainment venues.
ADFD is providing 84.28% of the project’s funding through the Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company (ADTIC). Furthermore, the Egyptian General Company for Tourism & Hotels owns 2.37%, Misr Hotels Company owns 2.73%, Abu Dhabi National Hotels owns 10.22%, and Overseas Tourism Investment Company owns 0.4%.
