At bauma 2025, Perkins unveiled an expanded lineup of power systems, services, and innovative technologies, reinforcing its commitment to helping OEMs build machines engineered for greater efficiency, productivity, and fuel flexibility.
Among the highlights was the upcoming Perkins 2600 Series — a powerful new 13-litre diesel engine platform set for availability in 2026. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of construction and other off-road, heavy-duty applications, the 2600 Series delivers power density, torque, fuel efficiency, and productivity. The engine will be available in eight power ratings ranging from 340 to 515 kW (456 to 690 hp), offering up to 3,200 Nm of peak torque, extending Perkins’ leadership in the high-performance, mid-sized engine category.
Also on display was the new 106 kW variant of the 904 Series platform, featuring a 6% power increase over the existing 100 kW model and a 3% boost in torque. This compact yet powerful engine is ideal for OEMs seeking enhanced performance without increasing machine size.
In a nod to the industry’s evolving needs, Perkins introduced a new battery electric power unit technical demonstrator, making its debut at bauma 2025. Installed in a pipe fusion machine, this plug-and-play solution is engineered to help off-highway OEMs transition smoothly from diesel to battery electric powertrains, expanding Perkins’ growing portfolio of advanced power solutions.
