Mercedes-Benz Trucks introduced the highly anticipated eArocs 400 at bauma 2025, marking the debut of the first battery-electric variant of its renowned Arocs workhorse. Designed for street-oriented construction transport, the locally CO₂-free and low-noise eArocs 400 represents a bold step toward sustainable heavy-duty trucking.
A small production series of 150 vehicles per year is initially planned for selected EU30 markets. The eArocs 400 will be offered as a 32- and 41-ton 8×4 axle configuration, with four different wheelbases, adaptable as either a concrete mixer or construction tipper — covering key applications in the construction sector.
The eArocs 400 boasts impressive efficiency gains, delivering at least 50% greater energy efficiency compared to its diesel equivalent. Under the hood, it’s powered by a central electric motor paired with a 3-speed transmission, offering continuous power of 380 kW and a peak output of 450 kW.
Sales are scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026, with the first deliveries expected in the third quarter of the same year.
