Nordic rental company Jalo&Jalo has added a brand new 104-metre S104HLA aerial platform to their already extensive fleet. With the recent purchase Jalo&Jalo strengthens their position as one of the leading service providers in Nordic countries, especially with big units. Their fleet is just over 60 aerial platforms and include four 90-metre S90HLA’s and now with the latest addition three S104HLA’s. The demand in Nordic countries is on the rise and Jalo&Jalo is ready to respond.
“We are extremely busy at the moment. All our current aerials are deployed and we are recruiting 11 new operators. This S104HLA will help us in not only windfarms, but in facade and construction worksites as well“ – Sami Jalo, CEO, Jalo&Jalo.
The S104HLA is mounted on a Volvo 12×4/*8 chassis, which allows compact configuration that is easy to drive in worksite conditions, but also in regular traffic. The cabin is in its original place, whereas the older S104HLA’s have required the cabin to be lowered in front of the front axle. Hence, making the front approach angle smaller. The gross vehicle weight is 63,5 metric tons and more importantly, the axle weight is not exceeding 12 tons. This is highly beneficial when operating in Sweden, as you don’t need an escort vehicle, which again reduces the operational costs. This also opens the door to Norway, as the older S104HLA’s were too heavy to drive on Norwegian roads.
With two telescopic booms, a 6-section main boom and a 3-section cage boom, the S104HLA provides a working outreach of 33 metres and working height of 104 metres. Jalo&Jalo chose an extendable working cage with a 600 kg safe working load and maximum width of 3.7 meters. Other optionals include hydraulic and water outlets in the cage, material winch, generator and an emergency back-up system.

“The new unit will be deployed immediately. It will start with a large construction worksite in Finland and then take off to Sweden to continue serving our customer base there through our local branch, Svenska Höjdliftare.” – Sami Jalo, CEO, Jalo&Jalo.
